Workplace Health & Safety Law

Accidents in the workplace occur for all sorts of reasons. Occasionally, they have serious consequences, not only for the employee and their family, but also fellow workers and businesses.

State and Federal legislation provides investigators with very unique powers, requiring witnesses to answer questions, furnish documents or provide other information. If such a request is being made of you, we recommend you obtain advice regarding your rights and responsibilities. Whilst it is not our intention to frustrate or unduly delay an investigation, we believe every person should have an opportunity to obtain legal advice, particularly where their co-operation may have significant consequences for them or their workmates.

Where employees or a business is prosecuted in relation to injuries or death caused in the workplace, our team can examine the evidence and advise you of your options. We can also represent you in the Coroner’s Court when inquests are held.
